Then again, I don’t think they’d sell armada wheeljack as a regular legacy release. I'm pretty sure they’d just use the same graphics again for the instructions since it doesn’t really make sense for them to have drawn up two different sets of instructions for what would be a very minor change, it also makes for an easier conversion with less steps if you don’t flip the blades(?) around.Īlthough I can totally see the evofusion graphic with wheeljacks minicon being pegged into the roof on a regular legacy box. On a slight tangent, Some people have been saying the altered peg is weaker but it’s been more than sturdy on both my toxitron sideswipe and sg sideswipe View attachment 30036459 I’m guessing the weird missile peg is on the same sprue as the lower legs and shoulders it might be a case of genuine retool where the physical mould has been altered, or they’ve made new moulds to avoid degradation and included this change. Hes also not nearly as complex as jolt, it’s as complex and as painted as a siege micromaster so there’s no way they could release it as core since even the small cores have been more complex than siege Micromasters and have included extra accessories of which whisper has none. In the past minicons have been separated (as in not gated but assembled normally then put in different packs to where they originally belonged) but that was a complex process from what I remember of the Aaron archer podcast I listened to. They can be gated but hasbro doesn’t use that technique because it’s more expensive. What intrigues me is that Toxitron capsule G2 Sideswipe has the same altered shoulder launcher missile with a shirt 5mm nubbin and extended 3mm pole as SG 'Swipe here, very curious! I think it's possible they may separate them, and Whisper could end up as a Core single release, or possibly some kind of Multipack of Minicons at a higher priceband.Īfter all they may be gangmoulded but we know moulds can be 'gated' to omit parts and/or have different component configurations in the same mould. Now, Abrahamson said that "the ship's crew remains focused on readiness and preparing for sea trials and the eventual deployment of the ship."Įditor's Note: This story was updated to remove a reference to a shipboard fire after the Navy disputed the account. That incident resulted in fuel-contaminated drinking water and suspected health impacts for the sailors aboard. also previously reported that the Boxer had an incident on a 2016 deployment in which its sailors were ordered to dump fuel overboard. "The ship expects to begin sea trials in the near future as part of its workup cycle for deployment," Abrahamson said. However, it appears that's the only time the ship managed to set sail since leaving the shipyards.Ībrahamson said that after this cruise, the "Boxer executed additional maintenance requirements in preparation for its sea trial period," but those sea trials have yet to take place. Images posted online show the ship at sea with an F-35B fighter flying near the ship’s deck. The ship began its service in the Navy in 1995, nearly 30 years ago.Ībrahamson confirmed that the Boxer completed this maintenance period "in mid-2022, undergoing upgrades and modernizations to the ship” while other Navy statements highlighted the fact that this overhaul lasted “more than two years.”Īfter the maintenance period, the ship briefly put to sea in June 2022. However, the ship also received work on its hull as well as tank and mechanical work and “other shipboard improvements,” according to BAE’s statement. The most notable upgrade was a new deck that would be able to support the new F-35B Lightning II strike fighter.
